Following the Salt
Airing on the Sun Sports Network: 8/17 6pm, 8/18 5pm, 8/20 6pm
It may sound elementary, and since fish really aren’t that smart, let’s not get too complicated. Fish want clean water and an easy meal. When it comes to inshore game fish, that live in and around tidal estuaries, it’s easy to see why tides affect so much. They bring clean water and bring feeding opportunities like a roach-coach to a construction site.
In this week’s show we begin on the southwest coast fishing for tarpon in the backcountry and canals of greater Ft. Myers. And then we switch coasts and fish with Frank Bolin and Capt Terry Parsons as they follow the clean ocean water back up into where it brings clean-salty water into fresh, creating a lunch line for reds and other game fish.
