They've been around for centuries and have been popular with commercial longline fishermen for decades. But the use of circle hooks is becoming more and more widespread in our fisheries--inshore and offshore. For artificial-lure anglers, one of the hardest things to do is not set the hook and instead let the fish hook themselves.

Today's show will look at some of the benefits of using a circle hook instead of a J-hook, as well as some other new tactics. Jeff Weakley spends the day with tournament anglers to see how they fish circle hooks on kite baits for sailfish. Jerry McBride swaps trebles for circle hooks on his plugs on the Indian River Lagoon with Capt. Don Mooney.
