SHOW DESCRIPTION
Most of our favorite gamefish--including trout, reds, tarpon, flounder, and snook--inhabit the sweet n' salty zones. We're talking about where the fresh water meets the salt. It's usually a high-energy environment with swirling currents, shifting sands and confused baitfish.

These zones will normally hold fish, but they have plenty of complicated elements such as salinity levels, currents and temperature breaks. Tune in this week as Blair Wickstrom tries to figure out the forces and elements at play while fishing freshwater upwellings in Tarpon Springs, FL and 100 miles west in the middle of the Gulf from Clearwater. Then Jerry McBride fishes one of Florida's most unique rivers in Jacksonville–the St. Johns River.
