There is no question that Florida is a great place to fish. But right next door in the Bahamas, the fishing maybe even better. There’s no better feeling than completing an ocean crossing in your own boat. Man’s been doing it for more than 400 years, but it’s never been easier than right now. Even with state of the art electronics, auto pilot and super dependable outboards, it’s still a great feeling to spot land after three plus hours at sea.

Today’s outboards have never been more reliable, so the prospect of making a crossing in a single powered 25-foot skiff is certainly doable. Even without your own boat the Bahamas are super accessible. Daily flights out of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm will deliver you to some of the hottest fishing destinations anywhere.

Join us as Terry Gibson makes the crossing on boat and find excellent bottom fishing plus some big dolphin. Then Mike Conner flies over to stalk the gray ghost…bonefish. As they say, It’s Better in the Bahamas!

On the Conservation Front: Founder Karl Wickstrom points out some silly quirks in Florida’s fishing license laws and campaigns for that shore-based anglers to be required to carry a license.
