SHOW DESCRIPTION High energy environs make for some of the best inshore fisheries of all. The surf certainly qualifies, and you’d be hard pressed to find a more diverse place to fish, both in the species and the tackle and method departments. At night bait tends to work towards shore, seeking safety in the shallow water, it’s this area that many early morning anglers drive right over in search of bait and fish. As a wise old angler once said, “don’t leave fish for fish”. Join editor Terry Gibson as he fishes this “hot zone” in the fall during the mullet migration and then once again in the early spring when the “bats” manta rays make their southern migration.
