Sportsmen on the Greens in November
Anglers and Hunters Test Their Skills on the Greens

Details of the Scram

When she was a little girl, Kimberly Wolf had the privilege of growing up on Hansen Bayou located on the North End of Siesta Key. She lived in a traditional old Florida style home surrounded by incredible blue green water. She spent her days hanging out with the neighborhood kids, swimming in the Bayou, jumping off the hump back bridge, trying to build boats out of anything that would float, helping her dad scrap barnacles off the bottom of his boat, and making frequent trips to the Florida Keys that were considered a requirement not a vacation.

Years later, she realized there was of a whole different section of Sarasota she had never explored. They call it “Out East.” These guys are very serious about hunting. She learned a pretty tail or a fine looking rack wasn’t necessarily someone they were discussing from Hooters. Camouflage clothing was for blending in with outdoor surroundings, not just a cute pattern for a bikini and that you can drive an ATV similar to a wave runner but, they tip over, they’re muddy, and also a ton of FUN! There is something pleasantly in common these sportsmen and anglers, a definite passion in their eyes, a definite obsession, and the reason they love it, because it’s good for the soul!

Now Sarasota has become an incredibly refined town, experiencing many changes. It is fortunate that we still have genuine “Good Ol’ Boys” around, who still have passion in their eyes and within their souls. The 1st Annual “Good Ol' Boys Southern Scram” is a golf tournament, celebrating this group of guys, all proceeds going to charity.
