The 16th Annual Hospice Horizons Fishing Tournament took place, June 20th at Riviera Beach Marina. Catch One for the Kids caught much more than fish, capturing the attention and charitable hearts of local anglers, individuals and businesses, alike.
The history of bluefin tuna fishing at Cat Cay goes way back—back to the start of big game fishing in Florida. In fact Cat Cay—a tiny, one-by-two-mile island about 60 miles east of Miami—is closely linked with all American big game fishing, because the pursuit of the giant bluefin there and off Bimini just a few miles to the north in the spring and early summer shaped the early development of big game tackle, boats and angling in the country.
The CCA STAR Tournament has been a summertime staple for anglers in Texas and Louisiana for many years, on May 23, anglers in Florida will finally have an opportunity to get in on the action with CCA Florida’s inaugural STAR Tournament.
