What else can we say? If you’re looking for a jack Hot Spot, you won’t have to look far. That being said, there’s a definite springrun of monster fish (30 to 50 pounds) along Atlantic beaches between Palm Beach and Fort Pierce. Light tackle and fly anglers foolhardy enough to cast to these wolfpacks are rewarded with hours-long bouts of sweaty rodbending.
Elsewhere, you’ll find big jacks around pods of big baitfish—mullet, for instance—and generally wherever you have spent the most time and money attempting to engage other, more desirable species.
