Hotel Info

We have blocked 25 rooms at a brand new Hampton Inn for Florida Sportsman staff and exhibitors. The Hampton Inn is 7 miles from the Fairgrounds, the closest we could find a nice hotel. The exhibitor rate is only $84 a night including one of the best breakfasts around. (Plus there is a full bar on site.) Call early and book your rooms--cutoff date is Oct. 1. (If rooms are still available after that, according to our contract, they should be the same rate.) Tell them you are with the Fishing Show.

MOVE-IN and MOVE-OUT INSTRUCTIONS

Upon arrival, stop at the registration desk and pick up company name badges.

Because of the unique floor plan which allows for booths mixed with boats, this schedule is critical to an orderly move-in, set-up and break-down. Unscheduled boat move-ins create especially difficult/impossible situations because of the location of the rows of booths. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

1. Booths: At 8 a.m. Friday morning, all booth exhibitors should begin their move-in. The exhibition hall will remain open until 8 p.m. Friday night.

2. Boats: All indoor boats should begin move-in Thursday at 10 a.m. while trucks can be driven around the uncluttered floor for easy drop-off. As the day progresses, more and more booths will be set up so an early boat move-in will be easiest on everyone. Boat move-in should be completed at 6 p.m. Thursday. Outside boats have all day Friday to move in.

3. Move-ins are not allowed Saturday morning or during the show. The Fairgrounds will be open to exhibitors beginning at 8 a. m. each morning of the show, but do not attempt to start or complete your move-in Saturday morning. EXHIBITORS MUST BE SET UP AND READY WHEN THE SHOW OPENS ON SATURDAY AT 10 a. m.

4. Move-out: Please do not begin tearing down until 5 p. m. on Sunday when the show closes. Move out must be completed by Sunday evening.

The Fairgrounds will be secured Friday and Saturday night and there will be a security officer roving the grounds, however; we cannot guarantee the security of your goods--it is advised that proper security considerations be taken by each exhibitor to further safeguard your property--covering your booth with blue tarps works well as most times that’s all it takes to keep a passerby (vendor or Fairgrounds worker) from stealing an item.
