Hotel Info

We have blocked 20 rooms for Florida Sportsman staff and Show exhibitors at the Holliday Inn Express, formerly Sleep Inn Universal Studios where we have stayed for the past four years. The Holliday Inn Express is just 6.8 miles and 14 minutes from the Fairgrounds, and considering the condition of the hotels on Colonial, well worth the drive. A generous exhibitor discount price of $79.00 has been arranged. There are several events in Orlando this weekend and hotel space is limited, so call early and book your room--the cutoff date is Oct. 25. Mention you are an exhibitor with Florida Sportsman Magazine.

Move-In and Move-out Instructions

Upon arrival, stop at the registration desk and pick up company name badges.

Because of the unique floor plan which allows for booths mixed with boats, this schedule is critical to an orderly move-in, set-up and break-down. Unscheduled boat move-ins create especially difficult/impossible situations because of the location of the rows of booths. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

1. Booths: At 8 a.m. Friday morning, all booth exhibitors should begin their move-in. The exhibition hall will remain open until 8 p.m. Friday night.

2. Boats: All indoor boats should begin move-in on Thursday at noon and continue until Thursday at 6 p.m. It is critical that all boats be moved in by Thursday night so that booths can be set up and booth exhibitors can begin their move-in on Friday. Outside boats have all day Friday to move in.

3. Move-ins are not allowed Saturday morning or during the show. The Fairgrounds will be open to exhibitors beginning at 8 a. m. each morning of the show, but do not attempt to start or complete your move-in Saturday morning. EXHIBITORS MUST BE SET UP AND READY WHEN THE SHOW OPENS ON SATURDAY AT 10 a. m.

4. Move-out: Please do not begin tearing down until 5 p. m. on Sunday when the show closes. Move out must be completed by Sunday evening.

The Fairgrounds will be secured Friday night and Saturday night and we will have a security officer roaming inside and outside the building, however; we cannot guarantee the security of your goods and it is advised that proper security considerations be taken by each exhibitor to further safeguard their property--covering your booth with blue tarps work well as most times that’s all it takes to keep a passerby (vendor or Fairgrounds worker) from stealing an item.

Electric/Phone

To Order Electrical Outlet

A 500 watt electrical outlet is available for an advance payment of $45 -- payment at the Show will be $65. The Show will be pre-wired on Friday morning, so last minute changes and additions are difficult and expensive. (The electrician needs to get into the ceiling and floor before booths are set.) Do not wait to order electricity at move-in.

Yes, I need an electric hookup. I have included a $45 payment with my final booth payment.

To order a telephone line in your booth

Call Bell South and order a phone line into you booth for $130.25. Tell them to install the jack on Friday morning, Nov. 11, and mention Robin Smillie as the contact person for the lineman. If you are calling from any Bell South area, dial 780-2800. If you are calling from an area not serviced by Bell South, dial 800-625-8879.
