Florida Sportsman Forum Members, It’s Time for Reel Time

The contributors of Florida’s Best Fishing Reports, the members of Florida Sportsman’s Regional Forums, will now be the featured angler of Reel Time with Florida Sportsman. Based on the posted fishing reports from the Forums, Capt. George Gozdz will determine where the hot bite is, hook up his RTFS Triton, and schedule a trip with a Florida Sportsman member. The member and George will try and recreate the hot bite from their post. See your fellow Florida Sportsman Forum members become stars, or better yet, post a report and become a star yourself.

Episode Three: Flying High Out Of Boca

Twelve years ago there was a ten year old kid, all 4 feet and 50 pounds of him that was effortlessly executing the double haul, a technique to enhance line speed that takes most adults years to master at the 1999 West Palm Florida Sportsman Fishing Show. An impromptu audience gathered to watch, mouths open. "He's the next Lefty Kreh," whispered a fishing guide. Fast forward to today, the kid, Nick Cardella, known on the Florida Sportsman Forum as Nick C. is grown up and from what you may read from his latest fishing reports, he is still on Lefty’s track.

Nick’s offshore report in the SE section caught Capt George’s attention, but what happened during the filming of RTFS is what will leave an impact on George. “He makes everything look so easy. Two kites off a bay boat, no problem for Nick, he thinks like a fish, if you ever thought kite fishing was too complicated or too much work, you need to see Nick in action.”
