TARPON & SNOOK
By, PTPC, 8/9/08
Been Buggin and Dolphin fishing in the Keys the last few days and didnt get a chance to post before I left. Got a Ride on Danny's new boat last Saturday! We left Marco in the rain before light. Ran way south. I'm talkin 70 mile run!! Wanted to fish the outside but the wind was HONKIN!! What is the deal with that?? Decide to take Lostmans to the deep back to check on snook and poon. Thats just what we found! Great day on the water on an incredable boat with an incredable angler!! Cant wait to go back for the fish we didnt hook!!! >>Forum Thread & More Photos
FIRST SNOOK
By, mwk208, 7/29/08
This is my friend John's first snook. He caught it from shore on a 2" pilchard with 10# line. We caught several other small snook in about an hour and a half of evening fishing. This fish is also featured in John Preeg's weekly fishing report in the Naples Daily News.

CHOKO REDS
By, backwaterrules, 7/20/08
Robert, Steve and I headed out early Sunday. Could not find the reds but Robert caught a few snook. On the incoming tide we switched tactics and found some nice fish. I hooked up first with a 34 1/2" snook. Robert and Steve then had a double hookup on reds. To our amazement we discovered that they had both hooked into THE SAME 28" REDFISH. Robert then followed up with a 33 1/2" snook. I then finished up the day with with a 37 1/2" snook. >>Forum Thread & More Photos
STORMY MONDAY
By, rjvermont, 7/14/08
It's been a few months since I last posted a report with not having a computer or internet. But I'm back. I've since moved down to Chokoloskee since this is where I primarily do my trips out of and do most of my fishing.
Today I was going out no matter what. I'm going on a road trip and won't be near the water for the next week. I was on the water by first light and back by eleven, just before the worst weather started. Though their sizes weren't great I managed 3 reds up to 26" and 7 snook with a couple in the slot. I spent the last couple of hours out there looking for a trout for a slam, but it wasn't to be. All the fish were caught on topwaters and with that had a few other good blow ups and lost a couple of bigger fish.
Here's a couple of pics. >>Forum Thread & More Photos
