SEBASTIAN INLET IS ON FIRE
By Slobslayer, 11/15/09
Well I broke my cardinal rule of going to the inlet on a weekend, but the weather was too perfect and I wasn't disappointed. I got bait around 3 and then picked up Orson from the island he was staying on and off we went. Upon entering the inlet I saw Steve over by his flounder hole and went up to see how the bite had been. He said it was just getting better, but I wanted to go play on the outside with some big boys and we found them ready as well.

DOGGY BEACH AT NEW SMYRNA
By edlive96, 11/09/09
Assuming most of you couldn't fish due to the wind this weekend, I'll put some pics up for ya. Took pops and a friend on the skiff Saturday, wind of course made it very difficult to pole anywhere so we stuck to the lee banks in Bissitte Bay and I crabbed my way around as they got shots in... Dad landed a nice 23" redfish and hooked 2 others and we all took turns catching decent trout, the largest being 20" and it was fun seeing Dad's reluctance of returning it to the water (season's closed). Rest of the day was spent catching sheepshead and snapper and a dozen pins along the ICW.

SKITTISH REDS
By shallow minded123, 10/30/09
Woke up this morning and it was dead calm so my buddy Brad and I decided to head to the lagoon. Well something happened on the drive from Merritt Island to there and the wind decided it was going to blow and come from any direction it wanted to. We ran down and around cucumber to find one hungry redfish that ate an exude shrimp(clear with chart. tail). Saw 3 other fish that saw us well before we could even see them. Then my buddy chuck called and he was 15 minutes from the ramp so Brad and I ran back to the ramp to pick him up.

SEBASTIAN INLET BIG FISH
By Slobslayer, 10/23/09
My Dad is down here for his annual October weekly fishing trip and the inlet again didn't disappoint. We made bait and on the second drift I hooked into a nice red. The third drift I hooked a monster of a snook. After taking us all over the inlet the hook pulled just feet from the boat. That fish was an easy 50in. Well the next drift produced a 33" snook for my dad. After that the bite slacked for a while then near 9pm we had a good flurry of strikes. We had a 24" snook, a 27" snook, another nice red, a small red and my Dad hooked a nice 40" snook. I also had a nice slot fish on but as he neared the boat the fish went airborne and smacked the side of the boat throwing the hook. Oh well it was a good night with sore arms and my dad. Good to meet roto77777. I'm glad to see you guys finally hookup after being beat-up in the gauntlet.
