Meet the Hosts
Blair Wickstrom, the creator and producer of Florida Sportsman TV, is the publisher of Florida Sportsman and the son of Karl Wickstrom, founder of the magazine. Blair has worked with Florida Sportsman for most of his career in media, holding a variety of positions in advertising and management. He’s lived in the Tampa-St. Pete region, Miami and now the Treasure Coast. Formerly a tournament kingfish angler on the west coast, now Blair is more likely to cross to the Bahamas for dolphin or tuna in his boat if he’s not on the water for a Florida Sportsman book, TV or magazine project.
Jeff Weakley is Executive Editor of Florida Sportsman Magazine. He began working for the magazine full-time in 1995. An expert with spin, plug, fly and offshore gear, Jeff has penned hundreds of articles on a variety of outdoors topics in Florida. He resides on the Treasure Coast but has amassed years of experience fishing in every corner of the state, from the Pensacola to Key West to Fernandina Beach. His constantly evolving fleet of boats currently includes a 19-foot flats skiff, a canoe, and a kayak. Hobbies include surfing and bird hunting. Find Jeff on Facebook.
David Conway, Managing Editor of Florida Sportsman, comes to Florida Sportsman by way of Key West, where he lived and fished and wrote, winning a variety of fishing and writing prizes, before taking a full time office job with FS on the mainland. David has extensive North American fishing experience, including fishing-intensive residences at one time or another in Cape Cod, Northern California and Texas.
