About the FSTV 2012 Season:

The Destination Tour: The Best of Florida Fishing

Florida Sportsman TV’s 2012 season will once again cover the state, coast to coast, to take viewers on a tour of Florida’s top fishing destinations. In each episode, we’ll showcase a different top destination and run down the distinctive features of that fishery and its seasonal fishing highlights—inshore, offshore and for anglers on foot.

In the span of each show, we’ll visit a variety of fishing spots that illustrate that destination’s unique hydrology and waterscape, and its draw for anglers. We’ll be fishing inshore and, when appropriate, offshore as well, but we’ll also be featuring previously filmed footage to create a total vision of that destination’s attractions and appeal. In the course of each show, we’ll also be fishing and visiting with local experts to get their take on their towns’ fishing, and we’ll be adding the local colors and flavors of that destination by featuring the hotels, marinas and local sights.

The season’s 13 shows will highlight destinations selected for their unique appeal and distinctive fisheries and for their locations around the state. The shows will also feature the newest Penn tackle and explain, and illustrate, some of the newest and best techniques anglers across the state are using to catch their targeted species. Speed jigging, trolling, daytime swordfishing, distance casting inshore, sight fishing and beach fishing, among other techniques, are increasingly popular, and they’ll all be displayed with exciting action sequences. In all, the series’ shows will present the incredible and exciting array of angling opportunities available in Florida to resident and visiting anglers alike.
