Florida Sportsman Expo is returning to Tampa’s Florida Fairgrounds on November 16 and 17. Attendees will find a wide array of exhibitors and manufacturers of fishing tackle, offshore and inshore fishing boats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, outdoor apparel, marine art, hunting gear and more on the 88,000 square foot show floor.
Learning is front and center at the Expo—there will be 35 informative seminars per day on 6 sponsored seminar stages, covering inshore fishing, offshore fishing, fishing from the beach and bridges, kayak and paddle board fishing and hunting, all conducted by Tampa area captains and hunting outfitters.
Our popular hands-on Right Academy seats over 50 anglers at a time for all-day expert instruction on knot-tying, hook sharpening, bait and lure rigging, fish cleaning and much more.
Beginner and intermediate fly fishers can get instruction at the fly casting pond with experienced Tampa fly fishers, and our popular Fly Tying Throwdown returns this year for fly fishers ready to show off their fly tying skills and take home a grand prize.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hosts the Kids Fishing Derby outside in the Fairground’s stocked pond, and all kids will win a prize for for participating in FWC’s Fish ID Scavenger Hunt.
Show hours are Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets at the Fairgrounds box office are $8 for adults; kids under 12 get in free with an adult. Military and first responders with I.D. Receive a 50 percent discount on admission.
