Marine Goes Green
Summit gathers speakers and participants together to brainstorm and learn about environmentally friendly marine construction projects.

The waters are going green—and we’re not talking about chemical-laden discharges and algal blooms. A first-of-its-kind summit will be held Oct. 10 -11 in the southeast part of the state to discuss latest examples of “green” marine construction projects.

The Summit will showcase examples of eco-safe construction from across the US in an effort to demonstrate how builders can win a competitive edge by going green.

“This is not about feeling good about going green,” says Steven Webster, Executive Director of Florida Marine Contractors Association. “This is about how your business can make green by going green. No one has really defined what ‘green marine construction’ means—this is our opportunity to lead, not to follow.”
