Talk Wildlife Trends with Rob Southwick
The FWC invites the public to a presentation on economics and conservation by Southwick Associates, a fish and wildlife survey group.
Kayaking, bird watching and nature hikes all constitute “wildlife viewing recreation.” But do you know the extent these activities have on Florida’s financial market? Join the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Southwick Associates’ Rob Southwick for a presentation on the contributions of wildlife viewing recreation on the state’s economy.
The presentation entitled, “Wildlife Viewing: Linking Economics and Conservation,” takes place Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at FWC’s Ferris Bryant Building, Room 272 in Tallahassee.
Rob Southwick, President of Southwick Associates, will present Florida-specific demographic, economic and trend data from the recently released National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-associated Recreation. The survey is released every five years. View the latest version here: wsfrprograms.fws.gov/Subpages/NationalSurvey/nat_survey2006_final.pdf.
Please reserve a space with FWC's wildlife viewing section leader Anne Glick by Feb. 22. Contact her at (850) 920-0664 or Anne.Glick@MyFWC.com.
