Rita Doesn’t Slow Down DEP
Some Keys parks already open, while others remain closed.

DEP announced on Wednesday the re-opening of its Marathon branch office and five of its state parks, only days after Hurricane Rita passed very near the Keys. Eight state parks and trails remain closed, however.

Offices and parks now open include:
