Florida Fish and Wildlife officers responding to a jet boat accident in Key West Harbor found the vessel high and dry in the trees along the Christmas Tree Island. Concerned about their personal health and safety as all jet boat operators are, the occupants stopped in the harbor to apply sunscreen, only to be swamped by a large boat wake. The operator solved that problem by swiftly accelerating the boat, successfully dumping the water along with all four occupants.

Still at full throttle, the boat struck the sandy shore and achieved liftoff, striking the trees ten feet above the ground before the effects of gravity brought the situation down to earth.
