Renegade 152 Nomad

The sharp bow entry of the Renegade 152 Nomad should give a good ride in choppy bays. The 550-pound, 15-foot flats boat fits in your garage and sets you back under $14,000, including motor and trailer. The all-composite 152 features flush-mount hatches and latches, 12-inch walk-around gunnels, pop-up cleats and lots of storage. Livewell capacity is 15 gallons and the aluminum fuel tank holds 20 gallons. Draft is approximately 8 inches. Volvo Penta D6-350 DP, and D6-350 DPR

Designed for speeds up to 60 knots, the Volvo Penta D6-350 DP, D6-350 DPR and D6-350 DPR provide the speed of multiple outboards or gasoline inboard sterndrives while delivering diesel reliability, long life and low fuel consumption. All three engines are higher-output derivatives of the D6-310. Engine control systems have been reprogrammed, the turbo has been optimized and the engines with Duoprop drives now have a mechanical compressor. The 350-hp D6-350 DP, the world’s most powerful diesel with sterndrive, will be installed in twin configurations in sportfishing boats up to 45 feet, or as the single power source in smaller boats. The 5.5-liter, in-line 6-cylinder utilizes common-rail injection, charge-air cooling and 4-valve technology, with a mechanical compressor combined with turbo that delivers impressive acceleration due to outstanding low-rpm torque. The DPR version utilizes a smaller lower housing and stainless steel props to maximize performance. The 370-hp D6-370 features electronically controlled reverse gears or V-drive, cast cylinder heads and a special ladder frame bolted on as bottom reinforcement to minimize vibration. All three engines conform to 2006/2007emission requirements.

eL Pirata Bad Bones 18

A long list of options lets anglers customize the eL Pirata Bad Bones 18 flats skiff to suit their individual needs. Core cell and composite stringer construction featuring vinylester resin and gelcoats create a strong yet lightweight hull, and the relatively narrow 6-foot, 5-inch beam should make it easy to pole, while a 20-degree entry deadrise slices through rough water. The electrical system features tinned wiring, heat-shrunk connectors and a custom breaker panel. All compartments are gelcoat-finished with gas-shock hatches. Decks are non-skid with a flyline toe rail, with flush-mounted hardware including a pop-up pushpole holder. Flyrod tubes, under-gunnel rod racks and console side rod holders are standard. Fuel capacity is 42 gallons. Standard power is a Yamaha 90. Contact eL Pirata, 3085 S.E. Waaler St., Stuart, FL 34997; (772) 781-4002; www.elpirataboats.com.

Pursuit 3480 Center Console

The Pursuit 3480 Center Console incorporates the company’s classic styling with a new 24.5-degree deadrise, notched tran-som and three-piece construction, said to deliver higher top speeds and improved performance under adverse conditions. All gunnel-mounted hardware is flush-mounted with pop-up cleats and lights. The fully bolstered gunnel sports a recessed bow rail on the interior of the gunnel cap. The leaning post converts from a full sit-down chair to a side-supporting leaning area in rough seas. Tackle storage and a 55-gallon livewell are built into the leaning post. An optional 35-gallon transom well is available. Four insulated, gasketed boxes hold fish, ice and gear.
