Homosassa to Steinhatchee
Includes Homosassa, Crystal River, Yankeetown, Waccasassa Bay, Cedar Key, Suwannee, Horseshoe Beach, Steinhatchee and Keaton Beach

February 21-23

Looking at a possible windy weekend ahead could put the brakes on an offshore run where anglers are catching some nice mangrove snappers. In the 18 to 30 foot depths are also some hogfish, sheepshead and grunts to bend the rod. Live shrimp is the best bait.

On the shallow side, there are still some sheepshead on the nearshore rocks. The surrounding stonecrab trap lines have had a few tripletail hanging around the buoys. With the warm weather, expect there to be more showing up in our future. Trout fishing along the points on the incoming tide has been very good with the chance of picking up redfish and snook in the same spot. High incoming tide will be late morning this weekend.
