Fernandina Beach to Flagler Beach
Includes Jacksonville and St. Augustine

June 21-23

Kingfish continue to bite well inside ten miles of shore. Slow trolling live pogies within sight of the beaches in areas like Southeast Hole , Red Tops and Nassau Can are all producing. The smaller kings are schooling on wrecks outside 10 miles. Those fish will take live pogies to either dropped to the bottom or free swimming over structure. Bottom fishing has been steady too with triggerfish, vermilion snapper, sea bass, mutton snapper are all taking frozen squid to the bottom on wrecks starting in 100-feet of water. There are a lot of sharks off the beaches if you’re just looking to get hooked up. Toss a pogy behind a shrimp boat and it’s pretty much shark on.

The tides will be super low starting in the mornings which will bring best opportunities to target pushing redfish. Top waters are always a great early morning choice or a big paddle tail soft plastic rigged weedless for reds. Mud minnows are a great live bait choice right now as you up your odds, not only for redfish but also flounder, which are also in good numbers now. Hopefully the rain backs off to let everyone fish early. Have a great weekend and go fishing.
