Port St. Joe to Keaton Beach
Includes Apalachicola, St. George Island, Carabelle, St. Marks and Keaton Beach
Weather has been an issue for most of the weekend anglers. It seems like it is decent during the week but come Friday, here comes the wind and rain. So we are all cleaning gear and re-spooling reels to be ready when it does break.
For those of you who do not know about me I am a Charter Boat Captain, I am an active Pro staff member for Simrad/Lowrance Electronics, Accurate reels, Rain shadow rods, Ande Fishing Line, and Cmor maps. I have been fishing professionally for seven years and full time for five years. I have enjoyed the sea as long as I can remember, but it seems as if there is just never enough time to spend on it.
Fishing reports have been slow as most guys have been stuck in because of the weather. There have been a few Pompano caught on the beach, along with some whiting. I had a bowl of fish dip the other day made from whiting. Ingredients were mayo, sour cream, onion, red pepper, celery, garlic, salt and pepper, one pound of cooked whiting, it was excellent.
Hopefully we will get a good weather weekend soon so you all can hit the water. Feel free to email me your fishing reports and pictures so I can share them.
