Removal of the Swamp Invaders Fishing Tournament

The intent of the 2019 Removal of the Swamp Invaders Fishing Tournament is to better inform the public about the negative effects of exotic fish and to encourage the removal and consumption of exotic fish from our waters. March 23rd, 2019 7:00am-3:00pm

Rules and Regulations



WEIGH-IN LOCATION: Miccosukee Arches, SW 172th Ave. and US-41, Miami, FL 33182

REGISTRATION: $25 registration fee per person, 12 & under are free. This is an individual event. To register prior to the event and secure a T-shirt, register in person at the Fish & Wildlife Department located in the Miccosukee Administration Building or online through the Eventbrite link here

2019 REMOVAL OF THE SWAMP INVADERS FISHING TOURNAMENT START/STOP: The Removal of the Swamp Invaders Fishing Tournament will begin accepting registration fees at 6:00 am at the weigh-in location. Fishing will begin at 7:00 am on March 23rd, 2019 and end prior to 3:00 pm on March 23rd, 2019.

ALL INDIVIDUALS MUST CHECK/WEIGH IN BY 3:00 pm March 23rd OR BE DISQUALIFIED.

TIP: Allow plenty of time for traffic – don't be late.

BOUNDARIES: Fishing for this event is permitted in all legal freshwater fishing areas within the Water Conservation Area 3A (Everglades Wildlife Management Area) and Water Conservation Area 3B (Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area), for the general public. Fishing within the Miccosukee Indian Reservation will be allowed for Miccosukee Community Members ONLY.
