Weigh-in from the last Battle of the Bay event.

My Warrior’s Place Retreat Center presents Battle Of The Bay: By Land, Sea, & Air Feb. 9-11. All proceeds from the event benefit My Warrior’s Place and it’s programs for military and first responder families. This three-day, four-sport event will be at various venues in Lake Wales, Apollo Beach, and Ruskin; with a fishing tournament covering the entire Tampa Bay area.

The Battle of the Bay includes four competitions including an Adventure Race, a Fishing Tournament, a Skydiving Competition and a Shooting Competition. Additionally, there will be a Kickoff Dinner to start the event and an Awards Dinner to end the event with live entertainment provided by a Nashville recording artist.

Entertainers & Celebrities who will be participating in this epic event are as follows:

Nashville Recording Artist – Barry Michael

Host of A Fishing Story TV Show – Ronnie Green

Three Time Guinness World Record Holding Skydiver – Ernesto Gainza

Channel 10 News Anchor and Retired Police Officer – Reginald Roundtree

2017 Winners of the TV Show “Spartan” – Jonathan Ruiz, Mack Roesch, & Sarah Harrison.

Tickets for the dinners are $10.00 each. Entry fees for the four different events range from $50 to $170 dollars.

The fishing tournament has a $120 entry fee per two-angler team and the format is Catch-Photo-Release powered by the I-Angler Tournament app. Catch as many saltwater species as possible in thirty non-stop hours of fishing in the Tampa Bay area. Divisions include motor boats, kayak/wade fishing, and fly fishing. Prizes include trophies, Florida-based charters and fishing tackle.

The public is invited to attend the Adventure Race on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 9am to 4pm at Little Harbor Resort in Ruskin. Come cheer on the contestants and enjoy wine tasting and shopping with the vendors who will be set up for the day.
