For the family who wants a boat whose primary mission is fishing, but still needs a design that caters to the requirements of the family unit as a whole, certain criteria need to be met. Most family boaters look for a layout that is comfortable to relax on during the down time for mom and the kids with plenty of shade, along with an enclosed head (always a plus for the girls). The boat should not give up any fish-ability to allow for creature comforts either and if it is easily towable for family vacations, all the better. The Sailfish 241CC met all of these requirements and after spending two days on her, this model proved to be an ideal family fishing package.

The traditional center console deck layout with 360-degree walk around deck and forward seating/insulated fish boxes is a smart use of space on a boat this size. The 241CC features seating for five (5) forward with a cleverly designed pivoting back/arm rest to port and starboard which serves as a leaning bolster for fish battles when in the aft facing position. Beneath the forward seating are matching 120-quart insulated fish boxes with overboard drains. At the center deck, the console is roomy enough inside for an electric head (optional) with plenty of added storage space, but also utilizes a very trim profile. An integrated T-Top frame design opens up extra space around the outer console sides which is a plus on a crowded boat. The console face is large enough for two Multi-Function Display screens and all switches are located within easy reach of the helmsman for heads up viewing. The leaning console is comfortable for two passenger seated and is offered with an optional second live well and tackle storage below. The cockpit features flip up seating for two more across the transom, a walk-through transom door with a Wave Guard Step, and a 25-gallon Live Well to Port.

This model is a well-balanced choice for the weekend “Family Fishing Team” that can be outfitted with numerous upgrades to meet the needs of almost anyone in this category of angler/boaters.
