Robalo 226 Cayman Bay

The Robalo 226 Cayman is the middle child in the series of Cayman boats at 22' 6” rounds out the collection nicely. The 226 model offers features attractive to the angler who likes a nearshore Bay boat but also likes to venture offshore as well. A stand out feature of this model is the slightly higher freeboard which adds a little more security when you ride into a bit rougher conditions. The hull styling and bottom design are more offshore influenced than your typical bay model but the top side deck layout is all business if you like elevated deck surface found on the classic inshore bay model. The forward casting deck offers a roomy area to stand/fish and large storage compartments port and starboard with locking hatches to securely store your rods. An anchor locker forward sits ahead of a 30-gallon live well which can also be used for additional storage. If giving up a live well for storage is a concern then fear not, there are two more 30-gallon wells in the cockpit. These wells ride in each of the aft corners flanking a double wide fold up jump seat in the center of the aft deck. More storage can be found under the jump seat as well. The center location of the aft seat is considerate to riders who don't appreciate the occasional spray on their sunglasses from riding close to the outer edge of the gunnels. Another standout is the optional overbuilt T-top with fiberglass hard top for extra shade. Plenty of cover under it and the ability to add custom color and lighting really dress her up nicely. An oversized console storage area is accessed through the front and large enough to accommodate a portable head if needed. This boat looks nice, offers lots of fishability and can be loaded with many extra features making it an attractive boat to consider if you want the ocean and bay at your disposal for a very competitive price.
