The Sterling 180TS uses all composite construction with Sterling’s exclusive “HPI” Double Hull Foam Core Injected Process that produces a chemically bonded hull filled with structural flotation foam. One of the most important benefits of this advanced technology is the safety factor built into every boat. Even though the Coast Guard does require all boats built 20-feet and under to have foam flotation, not all manufacturers use it for structural integrity.

Sterling’s hull design has a running surface that combines speed, stability and runs very shallow. This high performance hull is further enhanced by a hydraulic jackplate and recessed stainless steel trim tabs. The best attribute is when you pole it across the flats. It’s completely silent due to the design of its chines.

A 115 horsepower outboard is all that is necessary for this boat to perform well, far below the max 150hp rating. Having a LOA of 18-feet, 3-inches with a 7-feet, 4-inch beam leaves more than enough deck space for anchor storage, a 10 gallon console baitwell and 35 gallon release well. The fuel cell holds 35 gallons and the poling platform has a unique, swept design and integral backrest.
