Bass on the Road 2

Bob Bramblet and Rob DeVore have released “Bass on the Road 2,” a sequel to the short film that chronicled the adventures of kayak anglers on a weeklong fishing road trip across four states.

Jim VanPelt, Eric Hughes and Stewart Venable join Bob Bramblet as they hunt snook, tarpon and exotic fish, including peacock bass, along the Tamiami Trail, the southernmost leg of the U.S. Hwy. 41 in Florida.

The second film, according to Bramblet, is more about the destination rather than the journey.

“We wanted to showcase the Florida Everglades’ incredibly diverse fishery,” said Bramblet.

With the Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort as the backdrop, filmmakers Rob DeVore and Rob Lee capture the anglers’ attempts to catch bucket list fish as they dodge gators, thunderstorms and brutal heat in one of America’s last wildernesses.

If you enjoy the trailer, look for the film to be released in late August on select websites.
