The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County (BGCBC) is proud to introduce its newest event, Channing Crowder’s Inaugural Bass Fishing Tournament – a two day event benefiting the NFL YET Lester H. White Boys & Girls Club. The event is an official partner of the FLW and hosted by Mike Surman – an 18 year FLW Pro veteran! Channing Crowder’s Inaugural Bass Fishing Tournament, generously supported by media sponsor, WQAM, Leo Goodwin Foundation, Castrol Oil, Early Times, Pura Botanica, Sam’s Club, Tripp Scott Law Firm, Ft. Lauderdale’s Mariner Club, Guy Harvey, Aventura Auto Gallery, Davis Eletric, Firstlantic and Hypower Electric is taking place on Friday, January 31, 2014 followed by a Weigh-In Party at Ron Bergeron’s Green Glades Ranch. The Weigh-In Party will feature musical entertainment, food, live and silent auction as well as the presentation of the winners. There is a $10,000 Grand Prize including over $20,000 in cash prizes for the tournament winners. On Saturday, February 1, 2014 FLW Pros will teach approximately 100 club members about the skill of bass fishing at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines.

The Tournament will feature FLW Pros and celebrities including former Miami Dolphins superstars, Channing Crowder, Ronnie Brown, Jason Taylor and FLW Pro, Mike Surman. Other celebrities and FLW Pros will be announced.

The BGCBC’s NFL YET Lester H. White Club serves children between the ages of 6 and 18, providing an assortment of activities to benefit the kids in our community and keep them off the streets. BGCBC is focused on helping members, especially “those who need us the most,” achieve success through participation in the following core areas: academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

The ticket price is $100 per angler. To ride with a FLW Pro or celebrity, the sponsorship begins at $2,500.
