Dusky 19 Bay Shark

February 2012 WebXtra

The dry ride on the Bay Shark 19-footer is exactly what you expect from a Dusky hull. It's no surprise, then, that Dusky Marine is making a name for itself in the inshore fishing scene.

Dusky boats updated its 19 Bay Shark for 2012. Dimensions such as the 21-foot, 9-inch length, 8-foot, 2-inch beam, 12-inch draft and 20-degree deadrise remain the same. View the original Dusky Bay Shark 19 (19R) model when Florida Sportsman magazine covered it almost two years ago.

What's different is that the latest 19 Bay Shark ( 19RL) has a liner with non-skid deck surface throughout the boat; the helm area is now complete, with batteries situated below the closed console instead of at the bow; and an available T-top with rod holders provides cover when fishing in sunny or stormy weather.

With minimal storage area and few rod holders rigged on the base boat, owners will likely want to add those options. A cooler fits perfectly underneath the helm seat or between two hatches at the stern. The Dusky Drive swim platform extends the 19-foot boat to its 21-foot manufacturer's measurement. Check out the bonus coverage below in the 20-photo gallery.
