Eat fish. Stay healthy. And alert.

That's Brad Barker with a black grouper caught off Key West. That's a great fish to eat fresh.

Eat More Fish

You’ll find a lot of studies that show the benefits of eating fish for the health of your heart, but there are new studies that also show that eating fish can ward off the deterioration of your mental powers as well. The new studies show that older adults who regularly eat fish were less likely to develop dementia than those people who didn’t eat fish. And the more fish they ate, the lower their risk. The study included 65,000 people aged 65 and over.  Its most surprising finding: Those people who ate fish nearly every day were almost 20 percent less likely to develop dementia than those who ate fish just a few days a week. Those who ate fish a few times a week were 20 percent less likely to develop dementia than those who never ate fish. The conclusion: Eat fish!
