How about a worm that takes a lickin’ and keeps on wrigglin’? Live wrigglers, or nightcrawlers, are terrific baits for Florida bluegills and other panfish, especially in springtime. If you want an always-ready alternative, and one that stays on the hook for multiple fish, check out what the scientists at Berkley cooked up this year: A 2-inch Pinched Crawler in the Gulp! scent-impregnated material, with a curved shape to imitate a real worm. Fish one of these under a bobber or on a jighead. A package of six sells for $3.99. Four colors are available: chartreuse, Chunky Cheese, fluorescent orange and natural.
