Airflo Tropical Floating Clear Tip

FS Member offers his review of a new Airflo Tropical Floating Clear Tip 12-wt. line, and asks for input from other fly fishers on the Tips and Techniques Forum.

“Used it a couple times over the last few days, and so far, love it!” writes DPreston. “Want to use it a few more times in different situations first to be sure, but will probably be picking up a 2nd line for my other tarpon rod to replace the 12wt Ridge that is on there now. Casts great on 12# Sage xi2, zero tangles, and matches up really well with the Airflo 5′ Tarpon floating polyleader, for a total of 17′ of clear + leader. I just used the Airflo welded loops to attach the polyleader to the fly line and looped straight to class tippet. Casts great, simple system, and after pulling like hell on a 100#+ poon the polyleader held up this time around. Airflo usually does not disappoint and this line appears to be no exception!”
