Bass pros are rolling into town this week for the Walmart FLW Tour Lake Okeechobee event. This will be the first tournament of the FLW tour’s 17th season.

Tomorrow morning (Weds., Feb. 7), a select group of FLW bass pros will speak to third-grade students at Eastside Elementary School in Clewiston, FL. The anglers’ wrapped boats and tow vehicles will be on display at the school.

On Thursday, the 4-day tournament takes off at 7:30 a.m. from Roland and Mary Ann Martins Marina & Resort in Clewiston. The marina will host 3 p.m. weigh-ins for the first two days. On Saturday and for the Sunday final, weigh-ins will be at 4 p.m. at the Walmart at 1005 W. Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston.

The tournament is presented by Evinrude and features anglers competing for top awards up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-Angler division.
