Surf fishing in the fall in Florida has it all. Beautiful days, fast action on hungry migrating fish and a good chance to take home a few fresh fillets with a minimum of hassle and time spent. It’s no wonder that we’ve seen the interest in surf fishing skyrocket the last few years around Florida. It’s now becoming a primary, if not central, pursuit of plenty of hardcore anglers.

All across the state, anglers are primed for the fall surf season. One of them, FS member Fishin’ Gypsy, is about to gear up for Florida surf fishing for the first time. He has asked other members what reels and rods they like to use to target pompano and another outfit to go for shark.
