Along the East Coast of Florida it was another exceptional year for cobia fishing. “I’ve been able to go out and catch cobia along the beaches and on nearby wrecks from April through August. We’ve caught them off manta rays; we’ve caught them free swimming; and we caught them deep as well as at the shallow artificial reefs. Last weekend, while lobster diving, we found this single ray and a smaller-than-legal cobe swimming just south of St. Lucie Inlet. I wish the visability was better; it was an incredible site diving with them,” said Capt. Andy Tasker.
