Scout Boats' 201 Bay Scout test boat painted in a retro green, a throwback to the original Scouts 20 years ago. Maximum horsepower is 225, but Scout says it runs great with fuel-efficient 115, shown here. Reverse transom helps supports heavier 4-stroke engines.

Lots of storage, starting with a separate bow anchor locker...

…with a huge storage compartment just behind it. Note the stainless, flush hardware; gutter keeps water out and contents dry.

Standard livewell under forward console seat is flanked by six rod holders, and features high-speed water pickup. A second aft livewell is optional.

Flip-out horizontal holders swing back into gunnel if not needed, clearing the deck for easy movement.

Console doesn't take up a lot of space, but has stainless steel grab rail and cup holders, plus plenty of room for flush-mount electronics.

Distinctive, comfortable leaning post features four additional stainless steel rod holders.

Large dry storage box aft…

…with internal hatch for access to fuel/water separator and pumps.

Optional aft livewell flanked by standard stainless steel flush vertical rod holders.

Standard aft swivel seats fold down when not in use; Scout makes sure there's always a stainless drink holder within easy reaching distance.

Optional swim platform with folding stainless ladder.

Sharp entry gives the Bay Scout a smooth ride, even in choppy conditions.

Lots of seating for the family, plenty of space for anglers and gear.

Capable offshore, with shallow draft and big casting platforms at the bow and transom for flats anglers, plus family amenities. Something for everyone.
