Whether you’re fishing mangrove shorelines, seawalls, or piles of exposed sand fill, you’re fishing a bank that can be ripe for a “fish” or “game” withdraw.

One of the truisms of shoreline fishing is that the fish are tidally motivated. Fish with Jeff and Capt. Bill Faulkner, as they go deep in the bush during high tide where the fish are more comfortable, as they can maneuver under overhanging trees or push baitfish up tight against the bank.

And when it comes time to catch a “gator” and in this case we’re not referring to large trout, fishing the banks is your best bet as well. Sight casting for gators is as exciting as it gets. Not only do you have to make a perfect cast, you have to deal with an angry gator at the end of your line.
