TJ and I Headed out dark and early at 400am south bound to Key West. 3 dozen crabsin the well, great weather, and hopes of TJ catching his first permit kept usawake for the drive down. PORT EVERGLADES MIXED BAG

Went out asusual out of Port Everglades. Beautiful weather and the seas were nice. Got intoa school of peanut dolphins, after catching and releasing a couple, it was timeto look for the big boys. The weed was thick and scattered everywhere. Managedto find a small table among the weeds and we picked up a decent dolphin. Swungby it again and picked up a wahoo about the same size. That was it for a while,so we went further out. At about fifteen miles, the line went off and my buddyyelled, “sailfish”. WINDY DAY AT LOX PRESERVE

Today my good friend Juan M. and I hit Lox Preserve. It was as windy as I have ever attempted to bass fish, close to 25 mph. I started the morning on a JD’s Custom Bait frog and stuck with it all day. Juan was busting them on a Bass Assassin weightless. EXECUTIVE WAHOO FISHING

For those of you who were able to get out Saturday you know and understand why we live in South Florida. Although the fishing for us was well below the normal, you couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. As usual we started early and had no luck the first hour. We immediately changed plans and head out in another direction in search of the 100 pounder hoo that belongs on my wall. Everywhere we went the current was dead. We had one AM hoo and one in the early afternoon and went 2 for 5. The hot lure was the Dragon red/black.
